A bit of a problem with the PDC, front alarm goes off as soon as you put the car into reverse. the PDC light on the console flashes, rather than stays lit, indicating a fault, i presume. Anyway, does anyone have any technical details of the sensors and or where you can buy them from, apart from BMW garages. Has anyone tested the sensors (ohms) via the connectors on the PDC control box in the boot?

the easiest way to test the individual sensors, are by listening... put the ignition on, put the car in reverse and listen to each individual sensor for a clicking sound... you may have to get up quite close... there the sensor(s) that dont click, or click irregularly are likely to be faulty...

you could try parts suppiers for the sensors, such as your local motor factors or try www.gsfcarparts.com or www.eurocarparts.com... Sometimes even ebay can be good...

hope this helps.. Wink

Thanks. I tried that and found one front to be quite. I just love the simple way to check things Very Happy
Next questions is, can these be removed by just removing the black bumper strip or do you have to remove the complete bumper? If the black bumper strips do come off, what is the correct way to remove them?
Cheers

The trim just pulls off.. carefully but firmly pull the trim away from the car...
