AIRCONDITIONING NOT WORKING Empty AIRCONDITIONING NOT WORKING

Hi i have a 97 (R) 528i with 305,000 miles on the clock, the air con has stopped working. Crying or Very sad Went to kwickfit to have the aircon filled and they said that it was full and the compressor was working but the cold air sensor was u/s. Is this the Evaporator Temperature sensor ? and is it a common problem. ? Question
