Tyres GOING OUT OF SHAPE
I've had a Sept 2003 320D es auto for about 10 months now.
Its just been serviced and the garage said that all four tyres were wearing on the inner side of the tread, but that the shockers looked OK and that all 4 wouldn't fail at once anyway. I've done about 7000 miles since I got the car, which has now done 49000 miles. There is now distinct tyre noise at certain speeds, the garage's advice is to keep an eye on the tyres.
Tyres are 225/50 * 16 Z Dunlop.
MOT and warranty expiry in about 6 weeks, any advice welcome.
Thanks
JimL

Hello there, Have you had a 4 wheel laser alignment done since you have had the car?

Hi Slinky no I haven't. The tyres look OK until you look very carefully at the inner edges.

I think it would be worth getting that done, get it done at a bmw independant specialist. It isnt expensive and is likely to be your problem.

Tyres Going out of shape
Went to ATS for tracking, they found worn suspension bushes, car going into supplying garage Monday under warranty, hopefully then for tracking check and adjustment. Fingers crossed !

Re: Tyres GOING OUT OF SHAPE
A bush will be what is wrong with it now then, that was my second suggestion, but the beemers do need to be aligned regularly, or else you will end up with worn tyres quickly. Hopefully then it wont cost you anything.

Hi, I think you should change the tires. Don't take risk with that.
