My BMW 525 E39 is wandering
Hi Again,
Right the problem im have is my car is wandering right towards the middle of the road, which i believe is not what it should be doing. I have done a bit of research into this and i believe it may be a balljoint. Am i riught in thinking that?
Thx.

Re: My BMW 525 E39 is wandering
Hi Joe,
For the record is your BMW E39 525 a diesel? i am presuming so...
Does it clink of bumps at all?
also, it is worth checking the condition of your bushes aswell, if these are weak, they will have a negative impact on handling...
Thanks, Mightybmw.

Thanks for your reply. It is diesel.
It does'nt clink over bumps and it does'nt make any knocks or anything. It just tends to float around. it is getting worse i think.

I would check the condition of your suspension bushes, visually check them, then if you have a bar or anything of the sort, go around your control arms and check them by putting pressure on the bushes... If there is noticeable play, then they need replacing..
Also, when was the last time the car was aligned?
Thanks, (mightybmw)
