BMW M3 BUYING PROBLEMS

I am in the process of buying a 2001 M3 with 80,000 on the clock. The guy i am buying it off phoned me and said that the headlight warning light came on the dash, so he changed the bulb and the warning light went off. The problem is that now the "headlights cause havoc with the indicators". I dont really have any more information at this time because it is booked into BMW for this weekend to be repaired. Can anyone tell me what the likely problem is and how much to fix. Thanks in advance. Murph.
