3 Series 318is E36 model 1999 Bonnet release cable renewal

Hi Everyone, can anyone tell me how to replace bonnet release cable on 1999 3 series 318is.,cannot get access to bonnet lock to fit cable nipple to mechanism,have tried radiator removal,no luck, and cant get access to lock mechanism from front grille due to air con radiator. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated

never got a reply to my query and still using pliers to release from what's left of cable inside car.

Hi Im just after fitting a bonnet cable to my 1999 316i coupe my release cable disconnected from the lock whilest my bonnet was locked. I ended up jacking up the car at drivers side and from underneath if u look up u should be able to see the cable for second lock if u pull that second lock will open and first lock I ended up braking through the plastic caseing under the bonnet lock then I was able to release the bonnet pin from lock with a screwdriver hope this helps
