Hello again. My brakes squeal badly when im brakeing. they are ok when they are not used but they are really annoying, the garage said they should stop squealing but so far, they have'nt they've done 500 miles since replacement. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Very Happy

Well, a few things can atribute to this.... Firstly, perhaps they didnt apply enough anti squeal compound on the pads and calipers... perhaps the pads have a rough edge on them which may disappear in time.

Also, you have to take it as easy as possible with new pads, for the first 300 miles the pads are still settling ang bedding in with the pads... If you dont do this, then you will cause the pads to get hairline cracks in it and perhaps even blister.. If you have blueing on the disc, then the high possibility this has happened...

If i was you, take it back to the garage and ask them to inspect the pads, or inspect them yourself if you are confident...

HTH....

I'll get it back to the garage. Theres no real blueing on the disc, maybe a little line. I'll let you know how it goes, thanks

Ok mate, do let us know, i would'nt march in and ask them if they applied enough anti squeal grease on the back if the pads, but just ask them to kindly inspect it, you will get a (hopefully) a much better response..
