hi,

i own a BMW 5.25 .(1991 model) I wonder if anyone can help me? I have an automatic gear box and want to put oil into it. I cannot locate where i put the oil. i was wondering is the gear box a sealed unit? please advise.

Hi Gerry,
They are sealed units, and the oil is suppose to last the life of the box... but what BMW consider 'life' is another matter.... however you can change the oil, its a bit of a faff... ive done it before on an E34, a good resource to follow is this website here... http://www.bmwe34.net/Wiki/tiki-index.php?page=Automatic+flush

look towards the bottom of the page and it gives you the filling procedure...
