flat battery Empty flat battery

hi
i have a 2003 320d
i have replaced the battery and alternator and i still have too jump start the car if i don,t use it for a few days

Hi Shabazali,
The first thing to check, although obvious, is to make sure nothing is being left.... for example the boot light... which you cant see when the boot is closed....

other than that, you have an electrical short somewhere.. maybe a damaged wire in the interior lights causing a drain... You could pull the fuse for the interior lights and see if it holds charge, or if you have a multimeter you can test the draw of current from the circuits using the fuse plug...

Also, it is not unknown for alarm/immobiliser systems to cause drain on the battery...

Hi all,

Im having the same problem. I dont know why its draining. Iv checked all the lights and there all off. Do you have any other idea why it would go flat?
