CD not inserting in the navigation system

Hello,
I just got a BMW 318d 2009 model. I noticed the navigational CD was not ejecting. I took it to a BMW engineer who had the whole system removed and had to manually lossen the CD. Now the system is not allowing me to insert any new CD. What could be the problem?
